We will be collecting comments and feedback on the Draft Community Plan until the end of January 2019. The Plan and comments form are available online here and there will be several paper copies of the Plan at these locations in South Norwood. There will also be feedback forms at South Norwood Library if you prefer to fill out a paper form.

The Mayor of London’s Good Growth Fund

In October, London Borough of Croydon submitted an application to the Mayor of London’s Good Growth Fund to deliver some of the ideas in the Plan. They include plans to activate vacant units on our high streets as retail and workspace, invest in our community assets, create a strong identity for South Norwood and community initiatives to support local community organisations and businesses. The application is for 50% of the £2.32m total budget for the programme. The remaining 50% would be funded by London Borough of Croydon.

Fingers crossed for January 2019 when the successful projects are announced.

SE25 Stories

South Norwood-based education and training provider Snowmedia was able to support the development of the South Norwood Community Plan by drafting in some of its media and communications apprentices to work on a film project documenting local businesses and community organisers.
